**Summary**

The Paint Technician will assist with the preparation and painting of all Comtech Satellite Network Technologies paint requirements.

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities**

* Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering documentation.

*Capable of inspecting materials and paint applications to federal standards.

* Will clean, mask, prime and paint fabricated parts using various types of primers and paint.

* Responsible for maintaining the paint usage spreadsheet for Facility. Must also be cognizant of material shelf life and disposal requirements.

* Must comply with all Comtech Satellite Network Technologies safety and housekeeping policies at all times.

* Will be required to perform material handling duties within the department as necessary to ensure production throughput.

**Qualifications**

* Five (5) years of directly related industry experience

* Must be able to work up to ten (10) to twelve (12) hours per day Monday through Friday as needed to ensure Sales Order requirements are completed ahead of schedule.

* Flexibility to work weekends as required.

* Must be able to pass the required Pulmonary Function Test in order to obtain respirator certification.

* Must be able to attain a Comtech Satellite Network Technologies forklift certification.

* Must be familiar with and capable of operating all production equipment utilized within the paint work center.

* Must be able to perform touch up on defective and/or damaged parts.

* Must have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all personal protective equipment (PPE) utilized within the dept.

* Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Must be analytical, organized, highly motivated and capable of making sound decisions.

The physical demands of the position include: constant standing, walking, reaching, and gripping.

Material handling demands include: occasional lifting from floor level to work surface up to 100 lbs. Vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
